Believed built by Paynters of St Ives, 1920 as a traditional open West Country sailing fishing boat, rebuilt for present owner in 1983 and Coded for charter. Chartered out of Looe Cornwall for many years.
Tight seamed pitch-pine planking on 4" x 21/2" grown oak frames, doubled midships, all refastened in 1983.New 1983 sheathed ply deck raised to gunnel level back to the cock-pit with varnished ply coach-roof over. Full widthdraining cock-pit area aft.at original deck level with seating. Wheel steering on cables. Code height railings all round with varnished capping rail, s/s pull-pit. Extra deep keel 18’ x 8" added for extra grip.6 tons internal iron ballast.
Gaff mainsail on keel stepped varnished mast with fidded top-mast sets topsail, gaff mizzen sheets to steeving bumpkin, stays’l and jib.on roller, flying jib; all sails in red terylene about 10 years old.setting 1000 sq’. Block and tackle rigging. Sheets through jammers to cleats. S/s rigging to rigging screws.
Ford Thornycroft 4-cyl 70hp diesel with1997 PRM hydraulic box to centre line 3-blade prop gives 7 knts. 90 galls diesel in engine room steel tank. 2 x 12v batteries on 12v system.
6 berths. Two twin berth cabins forward. Stbd heads compartment. All varnished saloon cabin with port and stbd settee berths. Aft port galley with gas cooker, sink. Aft stbd entrance hatch and steps.Bulkhead to engine room with cock-pit hatch entrance.. Full head-room all through the cabin.
