Authentic, traditional Looe Lugger built by Pearce of Looe, Cornwall, in 1904 as a sail only fishing boat. Rebuilt in the early 1990's & restored to close to original. Long keel, straight stem & transom couleur stern with transom hung rudder. Riga pine hull planking on sawn oak frames, iron fastened. 8 tons internal iron ballast. 1991 flush iroko deck with low coach-roof with iroko coamings midships between 18" bulwarks. lroko garboards. 1986 greenheart keel. Tiller steering. 2-masted lug rig on keel stepped pole masts. Large & small mainsails, large & small mizzen, jib & mizzen staysail sets 2000 sq'. in authentic original dipping lug rig. All sails 1987-92 in red terylene.

7 berths. Fore peak stowage & Blake heads. Butkhead to fore cabin with 2 berths each side. Bulkhead to saloon cabin under coach-roof with stbd pilot berth & seat, port P-shaped seating around the drop-leaf table. Chart table & rockers to stbd, galley to stbd with gas cooker & sink. 2 x 50 gall flexi water tanks under settees. Bulkhead to port & stbd engines under boxes between port & stbd aft cabin berths. White painted bulkheads, pine joinery. Full head-room midships under coach-roof, less fwd and aft but spacious.
One of the few surviving, authentic examples of this type of traditional boat with minimal deck structures, original rig and in exceptionally sound, clean condition. She is a fast boat in the right hands with functional, practical accommodation and her recent twin engines make her very manageable. Equipped for cruising and in commission in long, knowledgeable local ownership.
