BuiIt by Seacraft Essex in 1947 to a Maurice Griffiths design very similar to his Lone Gull. Long keel, transom stern. Carvel planked 1" mahogany bronze screw fastened to 3" x 2" oak frames @ 12"c. GRP sheathed pine deck. Varnished mahogany coach-roof with bronze port holes. Iron ballast keel with oak plate. Filler steering.
Gaff cutter rig on new 1996 Mason hollow pole mast in deck tabernacle. boom & blsprit, hollow gaff. Mainsail, staysail, 2 jibs & a topsail all in serviceable condition setting 500 sq' sail. 2 bronze halyard winches, 2 bronze & 2 modern sheet winches. Galv wire rigging, runners on levers.
Bukh 20hp 2-cyl diesel installed 1982, centre line 2-blade prop, gives 6 knts. Twin lever controls. 17 gall steel tank in cock-pit rocker. Elec start. 12v battery.
5 berths. V-berths in fore cabin, hatch over on fwd end of the coach-roof with good head-roorn. Lavac sea toilet to port.
