Designed by G.L. Watson and built by Robertsons of Sandbanks, Glasgow in
1930. Long keel, canoe stern. Carvel planked on teak all copper and bronze
fastened to 3”1/2 x 4” grown oak frames @ 20”c with 2”1/2 x 2” steamed oak timbers
between. Ext. 11.5 ton lead ballast keel. Solid, laid teak deck. New bulwarks with teak capping rail. Teak fore hatch, & sky-light and after hatch. Midships coach-roof with bronze port holes. recently built teak pilot house similar to original with the original bronze windows., cock-pit behind, all in varnished teak; wheel steering to externally hung rudder on massive cast bronze rudder post with new bronze hangings.

Re-rigged 1997/8 with gaff main, bermudian mizzen on solid pine keel stepped varnished masts & spars. New gaiv rigging with all new block and tackle running rigging. New mainsail, main topsail, staysail &.jib on Furlex roller system to end of bIsprit.

Ford 6-cyl 120hp diesel engine rebored and rebuilt Nov 198 in dedicated engine room to centre line prop. Water cooled 240v/24v diesel generator. New 1998 batteries on 24v system all rewired 1997. 250 galls fuel in 3 epoxied steel tanks

10 berths. One double and two single berth cabins forward, aft cabin with double and single berth, berth In pilot house over and saloon berths. Ail original panelled walnut saloon originally had a small piano. New galley in oak with twin sinks and gas cooker, full stowage. Heads and shower. A 11 . new plumbing with 2 x 100 gall new gaiv water tanks. Press system with fresh and sea water taps. Reflex cabin heater also runs CH. Full head-room all through.

Compass, sounder, log, Auto-pilot., Radar, SSB & ATU unit. etc.

This fascinating vessel, built to the highest spec for a 'tobacco tycoon passed through our hands several times over the years before we finally p-laced her in present ownership where the depradations of previous well-meaning owners were repaired and the vessel finally refitted to the present specification followed by a 12 month voyage.
