Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter 50'x 41'wl x 12'6,> x 8'+ b'sprit. UK regd. Lying UK £65,000 Built by Hambly, Cardiff in 1902. Long keel with spoon bow and fine counter stem. Carvel planked 15' pitch-pine iron dump fastened to grown & sawn 4" x 4` oak frames @ 14`c.. Flush, painted, laid pine deck. with shallow bulwarks and capping rail all round.. Cock-pit warnings around a foot well with tiller steering and entrance hatch. Midships sky-light and fore hatch on w otherwise clear deck. 6 tons of all int. iron ballast. Oak floors and back-bone.

Gaff cutter rig on varnished keel stepped pine pole mast, pine boom with original Apledore roller reefing, pine gag and b'sprit. Hand spliced galy wire rigging. Running back-stays on tackles.. 1600 sq' sail

Lister HR3 45hp 3-cyl 1976 air coiled diesel on port quarter with single fever controls to 3-biade quarter prop gives 6knts. @ l gph. 30 gall steel fuel tank aft.. Electric start. 4 x 12v batteries on 12v system with 21Ov circuit and shore power connection.

8 berths.. Fore cabin with port double berth, 2 tier berths to stbd. Bulkhead to port heads compartment with Blake sea toilet and shower, cupboard to stbd, Port U-shaped galley with antique solid fuel range, gas ook,, sink with hand and press water taps from 3 water tanks total 160 galls.
