Designed by Freeman & Watts, built by Kidby & Son Essex in 1938, launched 1947. Long keel, with nicely pointed canoe stern. Carvel planked 1" pitch-pine all copper fastened to sawn oak frames with steamed CRE timbers between. Laid yellow pine deck inside varnished mahogany toe rails. Varnished mahogany coach-rof up to the mast with polished bronze port holes. 2 t lead ballast keel, int lead trimming ballast, bolts drawn 1995. Tiller in deep varnished cock-pit.
Bermudian cutter rig on varnished keel-stepped mast, single spreaders with jumpers over. S/s rigging, new ‘95, standing back-stay, runners on tackles. Mast winch, 3 cock-pit winches. 400 sq’ sail. 2 mainsails, 2 headsails, storm jib and spinnaker. Sail cover.
