Highly respected Kim Holman design, the last one built by his brother Jack at his Uphams Yard, Brixham, Devon in 1965. In only second ownership from new, present owner for 21 years. Full keel, raked transon stern with transom-hung rudder. Carvel splined mahogany topsides, pitch-pine bottom all copper fastened to Rock elm timbers.. Sheathed ply deck with varnished teak toe rail. Clear side and fore deck, varnished teak coach-roof with fore hatch, varnished self drain cock-pit with tiller. Cast iron ballast keel, heavy oak floors and a few galv ms strap floors.
Masthead bermudian sloop rig on alloy mast stepped on the deck. S/s rigging, bronze rigging screws to s/s chain plates. Twin standing back-stays to s/s quarter plates Alloy roller reefing boom. Two mainsails, Nos 1 & 2 genoas, large and small jibs, spinnaker and pole. Main sheets to horse on aft deck. Pair of bottom action bronze sheet winches, pair of mast halliard winches.
Albin 2-cyl petrol engine, twin lever controls to centre line 2-blade prop.
4 berths. V-berths in fore cabin, full head-room fore hatch over. Bulkhead to port heads compartment with Blake sea toilet, stbd lockers. Bulkhead to saloon cabin with port and stbd settee berths. Port chart table, stbd galley with 2-burner gas cooker, plastic bowl with hand pump from 10 gall water tank under cabin sole. Steps over engine, wash-boards and sliding hatch to c’-pit.
Full head-room. White painted ply bulkheads and varnished teak joinery.
Compass, sounder, 3 anchrs and chain. Life buoys. Covers. A typically well-built example of these lovely yachts. Excellent sailing, totally forgiving. Needs clean up after 2 seasons ashore
