One the 11 yachts designed by Morgan Giles for the Admiralty as sail training yachts, built by James Taylor of Shoreham in 1962. Full keel, counter stern. Carvel planked teak all copper fastened to steamed oak timbers. Ext lead ballast keel. Solid laid teak deck. Varnished teak coach-roof, fore hatch at fwd end, raised dog-house fitted with new ply roof in 99, all epoxy sheathed. New windows fitted. Hull stripped to bare wood and repainted 99.
Masthead bermudian sloop rig on new 54 keel- stepped Kemp mast, twin spreaders. New s/s rigging with Norseman terminals to Gibb chromed bronze rigging screws. 2 new Lewmar ST 40 halyards winches. New twin groove Furlex headsail reefing gear. No boom. Sails from previous lower rig. Sheet winches.
Saab 18hp 2-cyl diesel, single lever controls to centre-line prop. 10 gall fuel tank.
6 berths. Separate heads with sea toilet. Galley rebuilt in previous ownership with gas cooker and s/s sink. New electrical panel with circuit breakers and cable supplied.
