Laurent Giles design, built in Bridlington, Yorks in 1939 to the early design, one less plank in the topsides with a low varnished mahogany coach-roof with bronze port holes up to the mast, mahogany self-draining cock-pit and fore hatch. Planked in Red pine, copper fastened to grown oak frames @ 25c with 2 steamed oak timbers between on an oak back-bone., lead ballast keel with bronze bolts drawn 1992. Transom hung rudder.. Canvas sheathed pine deck.
Usual Vertue slutter rig on varnished keel-stepped spruce mast, 2 sets of spreaders, split standing back-stays, runners on bronze levers. Pair of bronze sheet winches, pair of rope mast winches and wire fore hayard winch.2 mainsails, 3 genoas, staysail, storm jib and trisail and spinnaker.
1999 Yanmar 1GM10 10hp 1-cyl diesel to centre line 2-blade prop, single lever controls. gives 5knts. Elec and hand start. 2 x 12v batteries. 8 gall plastic tank in cpit locker..
